Hi,
My Catalyst 6509 with Supervisor Engine 2T have high cpu utilization issue, we hope to know which traffic imapct and cause the high CPU utilization.
As I know the Supervisor Engine 2T not support the "monitor session type local" command. Is there other method to capture the traffic hit to CPU, and I can export and analyze it by packet analyze tool ( wireshark )?
Best Regards,
Jackson Ku

Hi there,
netdr is probably what you are after:
There used to be an online tool for parsing the output, I believe you can use the CLI Analyzer tool to read the output.
cheers,
Seb.

ahah, the tool is still online:
https://cway.cisco.com/tools/netdr
...this will allow you to export to pcap for more detailed packet analysis.
cheers,
Seb.

Hi, Can I export the netdr capture result and use protocol analyzer to analyze?

The highest process cause the high CPU utilization is "IP input". We take many times to find specific source interface and disable it to decrease CPU utilization.
The netdr tool can speed up to find the root cause of high CPU utilization, it is better for us if we can export the result and analyze it by protocol analyzer.
