Hi all,
We are planning to buy more 3850 switches at the edge for local end users connections and was told by the sale rep that we should look at buying the Cat 9300 switches as Cisco will stop production of 3850.
is that true or correct ? is Cat 9300 is the way to go forward ?
Thanks
Peter

This is true and false.
Cisco will stop sales of the 3850 once End-of-Sale date is announced. As of the 01 September 2017 this announcement has not yet been released.
If you want to future-proof your investment, 9300 is the way to go because in 18 to 36 months (personal opinion) the EoS notice will be out by then.
