Hello every body,
I have this setup (object of this post), but i can't use 10G copper connexion to my computer.
Every time i used a TenGigabitEthernet1/0/X (with X 1 to 8), the interface go down with err-disabled on "sh interface".
The message is
gbic-invalid error detected on te1/1/X, putting Te1/1/X in err-disabled
Does this gbic is not supported on this additional module? If yes, wich gbig i have to used for a 10G connexion on copper link?
Best regards,
Nicolas

what is the Full model of Cat 9300 switch. is this SFP-10G-T-X From cisco or 3rd party ?
check module support :
https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/?si=SFP-10G-T-X
if it is 3rd party try below :
(config)#service unsupported-transceiver
(config)#no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid

All ports in the C9300-NM-8X module default to 10 G - so technically should support cisco SFTP ( I have not tested 10GB copper SFP)
Can you post
show interface ten 1/1/X trans details
show interface ten 1/1/X trans
show interface ten 1/1/X
I would like to see if the SFP recognised.
if the SFP recognised, try no negotiation can results any success (this is for testing - this is not solution)

SFP-10G-T-X - I believe your model not support i guess here as per the below message. But wait for anyone used this module and can comment.
*Sep 24 20:11:39.849: %PLATFORM_PM-6-MODULE_ERRDISABLE: The inserted SFP module with interface name Te1/1/8 is not supported
as per the matrix it only support only 1 model, so your model not in the list for sure.

Hi there,
You need to upgrade your software version to at least 17.6.1
cheers,
Seb.

Hi,
According to compatibility guides, SFP-10G-T-X is not officially compatible with C9300-NM-8X module. check below links. this module supports up to 1G copper transceivers GLC-TE and if you need to use 10G, it only support fiber transceivers.

rate this and mark as answer if this resolved your concern
Good luck
