CBS220-24P-4G switch configure voice vlan problems

Currently trying to config this switch for voice vlan with phone and desktop.

I have V-LAN 30 for voice V-LAN, V-LAN 50 for desktops

This switch does not configure like the old catalyst switches, it has some kind of auto voice or mac address octet detection.

We used to just set the ports to switch port access with data V-LAN then add switch port voice V-LAN for phones.

no go on these switches.

Tried setting interface to general type port and set V-LAN 50 as un-tagged and V-LAN 30 as tagged. still no go.

Thanks,

Dennis J.

Can you please provide your port configuration for reference?

Thanks

attached is the current config.

Port 1 is set to general port and vlan 50 is untagged, Vlan 30 is tagged.

I have tried the way the manual shows to config voice vlan with both types auto and the other, No go.

I have an older catalyst 3550 switch set with the port configured for switchport acces on vlan 50 and voice vlan set to 30.

The phone boots, pulls its config from a http server on vlan 50, reboots gets a dhcp address from vlan 30 and registers to the voip server.

Not sure if you are following this guide or not, but page 87 shows how to configure a voice vlan.

I have tried the way they describe in the manual, both the auto voice vlan and the other.

Does not work.

I have an older cisco 3950 switch that is configured like always with the port as an access port with vlan 50 untagged and the switchport voice vlan as vlan 30 tagged.

The phone works, it pulls its config from a http server on vlan 50, reboots, and pulls its dhp address from vlan 30 an registers to the Voip server.

Sorry, did you make it work already?

Did you ever figure out how to set this up without having to build a OUI table for phones?  The only way we can make the cisco 7841 phone go to our voice vlan is to set the port as voice vlan access port.  This defeats the ability of having a single interface run a phone and desktop like a standard cisco 3850 switch.
