Help,
I working on replacing 3750 stack switch with 3850 stack switch at a remote site and currently the 3750 stack switch is running eigrp as the internal routing protocol. My plan in a nutshell is to change it from EIFRP to OSPF(company standard) as the internal routing protocols.
My question is do I go ahead and configure OSPF on the new 3850 switch and configure the L3 interfaces with OSPF and keeping the same IPs.
Of course the same would have to be done on the PE router side as well.
Am I missing anything else ?
please advise.
Thanks,
Jack

There is much that we do not know about your situation and some of that might change our answers. But based on what we know so far I would say that you are ok with your plan to keep the same interface addresses and to just run OSPF.
If the remote site has been running EIGRP and the company standard is OSPF then some device would be running both and redistributing routes. You probably want to change that device since it no longer needs the second routing protocol or redistribution.
