Changing Interfaces on existing Port-Channel

Hi all,

I have a core switch and a router which are connected over 4 physical links. These are configured as Port-channel.

- Switch: Cisco C6807-XL

- Router: Cisco WS-C6504-E

My task is now to change these interfaces with other ones on both side. As far as I know, to change the interfaces I have to shut down the Port-channel first before i can remove the current Interfaces from it. Afterwards, can I just add the other interfaces and it will work or do I have to configure something else?

Thanks for the help!

Best regards,

Laurent

Hi @Laurent Soria

A PortChannel can have up to 8 interfaces. Therefore, I suggest you add the 4 new interfaces to the Channel-group first. Then, you can release the current interfaces one by one until there are only 4 new ones left.
