Check boot loader and image before update switch 2960-X

Hi Everyone

I have a question that I should check boot loader and image before update switch 2960-X.

I try search in release note version image but not found aboute minimun version boot loader with image.

Where can I find this information?

Show version gives you that information. When you upgrade to the latest code, the bootloader automatically upgrades, switching points of view.

If you're looking for the latest version, always read the release notes, it has the requirements and information.

I would be cautious upgrading any 2960X firmware because there is no way of knowing if the switch is genuine or counterfeit. 

Not even Cisco would know because the the manufacturer of the counterfeit switches use genuine Cisco 2960X serial number.
