Choosing RIP over EIGRP redisribution

Hello All

I have a network where by i have redistributed EIGRP and RIP. My only concern is how do i choose the packet to traverse over the RIP network instead of the EIGRP network.

I have tried increasing the EIGRP AD to 200 but the preferable path chosen is still EIGRP

I just need to select the RIP path over a certain IP segment eg 20.20.20.2 and all other routes go via EIGRP.

I have tried route-maps, access list but no positive ending.

Post here RIP/EIGRP configuration (without sesitive info like public IPs) and Network topology in that way we are able help much better.

Hello Jernail,

Both RIP & Eigrp use the source ip address of the advertising router and the destination network of the actual network.

Source=Avertising router

Dest=Actual network

So let say your advertised interface is 10.1.12.2 -

Access-list 20 permit 20.20.20.0.0.0.0.255

router rip

distance 121 10.1.12.2 0.0.0.0 20
