Looking at the Cisco Software Download centre for the 1841 Integrated Services Router it shows C1800_RM2.srec.123-8r.YH13 as the latest IOS ROMMON version dated 16/11/2010. My 1841 has the C1841_RM2.srec.124-13r.T dated 06/09/2006. Is the 123-8r.YH13 a later version than 124-13r.T even though the version numbers are lower?
What does the upgrade fix?
Thanks, Matt.

ROMmon verison 12.3(8r)YH13 is OLDER version to 12.4(13r)T.
If a newer ROMmon version is what you seek, then version is 12.4(13r)T5 is the "latest and greatest".

Thanks for taking the time to rate our posts, Matt.
I highly recommend upgrading the ROMmon. One major benefit with the upgrade is the option to enable booting the IOS from the USB.

Thank Leo, just as I thought. It is just a bit confusing the way that Cisco has them presented on the software download site.
