Cisco 2811 Help

Thanks for help in advance. I have a fiber 10mb connection delivered as Ethernet. I have a 2811, (1) HWIC -1FE and (1) HWIC -4ESW. I would like to know which module I should use and configuration example. Also, my ISP gave me serials and my LAN block. I was wondering if I even need the serials IPs. Can I just plug in to the HWIC-1FE and use one of the IPs from the LAN block? Do I need to worry about encapsulation? Thanks.

Use HWIC -1FE and Assign the IP of Your serial Provided by your ISP

Configure Default route btowards your ISP IP adress in your 2811 ( confirm from your ISP what will be that IP to Point)

Use your LAN Ip Pool For NATTING Purpose

Hi,

I'm not sure which thread to answer but here it goes. Just use the default ethernet ports on the 2811. One for the WAN (from fiber-to-RJ45 handoff) and the other facing your LAN.

No encapsulation to be configured as you only need to assign static IPs (point-to-point).

Thanks, will try and post results.

Sir, that didn't seem to work, but Im having our ISP check and make sure the circuit is up.  Any other config examples or  suggestions?  Thanks.
