Wondering if anyone can provide a little information on a possible issue that I am having with a Cisco 2911 Router. Over the weekend we received SNMP fan alerts.
Here is what Show Environment reports. My question is about the FAN TRAY: MISSING. Has anyone seen this before? Could bne a simple fan tray replacement or could it be a mother board issue not recognizing the fan tray? We have removed and reseated the existing fan tray, the fans are spinning but doesnt look like they are recognized. Earlier the temps were higher, this is in an airconditioned room.

This goes back a ways I think that we replaced the Fan assembly. Here is an article that desribes the process
1 | 1 x Cisco 2911 Fan Assembly, 2911-FANASSY | 2911-FANASSY | 0% | $159.95 | $159.95 |
from cables and kits dot com
unless you have support for your routers it would probably be covered.
Hope this helps.
