Hello Everyone,
How can i configure a cisco 2940 switch gigabit port to work with a 3560 switch?
when i run sh int status it say is notconnected but i have the SFP connected with cat5 cable connected to the other 3560 switch.
Any help please?

Maybe your SFP or cable is faulty?

The cable is good and SFP, i tested on another switch. also when i connect the cable to one of the fast ethernet port it doesnt do anything.

On the 2940, please post the output to the command "sh post".
