cisco 2960 switch console port is not working

Hi,

I have switch its console is not working where as same console cable is working with all other swtiches

please help me out

is it a new switch.

check if,

1.if you have the settings right in hyperterminal/putty/minicom etc..

2.if a different console cable is workig in this switch.

3 you are connecting to the correct console port !!

4.if you have any ip address configure in the switch, try to telnet/ssh to it.

isn,t there any config inside. what is the model of your switch. did'nt you create any int vlan with any ip?? can you recall.. by any chance does  your switch support usb console cable??
