Cisco 2960 Switch dual purpose port

I have a Cisco 2960 switch with 2 gigabit dual purpose port.

Now i have selected the media type for both port to AUTO,

when i connect to copper port it works fine, then i connect to sfp port it also work fine but then when i connect to copper port agian it does not go up neither does it show any errors on port.

I have tried to sh and no sh the port it didn't work, although changing the media-type to rj45 then auto works but anyone know why is it behaving like this or what's causing this bug?

First why you need to change different SFP ? is this for testing, in real world we use either Copper of Fiber SFP for Long term installation.

yes you need to use that command to work when you move from Fibre SFP to copper SFP.

what IOS Code running ? show version will help (this may be bug) but you know you the laternative method to working solution.
