Cisco 2960s licence

Hello,

I have a problem. I have two switches 2960s (stack) with two installed licence - Lanlite and Lanbase. Lanlite is active.

How can I change lanlite to lanbase?

You cant its not possible to go from lanlite to lanbase on a 2960
its known , lanlite is not an upgrade able switch

The problem is that I have a switches Catalyst 2960-s Series PoE+10G. Model's numer is WS-C2960S-48FPD-L.

Two days ago I contacted with cisco support about the wrong version of the license. Cisco enginer sent me a new licence - lanbase. I installed that but I don't now how it activate.

At now I have two licences at my cisco: active, in use lanlite and active, not in use lanbase.

You cant go from a lanlite to a lanbase image , its not possible

Q. Can I upgrade or downgrade a Cisco Catalyst 2960 Switch between the LAN Base and LAN Lite IOS images?
A. No. Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series Switches cannot be upgraded from LAN Lite to LAN Base and cannot be downgraded from LAN Base to LAN Lite.

How I got the switch from the lanlite license, which should be a factory lanbase license?

I have a situation that I bought a WS-C2960S-48FPD-L switch with a pre-loaded lanlite license. Someone in cisco made a mistake by uploading this license and now I can't do anything about it?

Who did you buy the switch off a Cisco reseller ?
send it back if they sent it to you with the wrong license , tell them it cant be upgraded and its not what you bought it was supposed to be lanbase switch factory

Thanks for the answers and explanations. I bought the switch from 10 years ago so the complaint is hardly an option. I will have to replace it with a new version. I counted that I can somehow change the license. Thanks again for help.

Yes its not the best answer but im in same situation i have an old 2960 lanlite wont support any ISE commands i need to remove it too as i cant upgrade it either

LANLite cannot be upgraded to any level.
