CISCO 2960S vs 2960X

Hi all

I am looking at some new switches, I can see the 2960X and the 2960S, They can both do gigabit and stacking, what are the main differences between them?

You can stack up to 8 x 2960X but you can only stack up to 4 x 2960S or 4 mix stack of 2960S and 2960X.

Hi, difference is in flex stack , 2960s has Flex Stack technology and 2960X and 2960XR have flex stack - plus technology . You can stack these switches together by 2960s-stack module for 2960x and 2960x-stack module for 2960X . But real difference between these two model Is in bidirectional stack bandwidth , 2960S is 40 Gbps and 2960X is 80 Gbps.
