Hi,

I have a Cisco WS-C3560G-48PS switch with IOS c3560-ipbase-mz.122-35.SE5.

I need to upgrade it to a newer version to fix bug issues.

I am confused to which IOS should i upgrade it to so that the switch remains stable.

Please suggest.

Best Regards,

Kunal Tupe

For best stability, I would use the 12.2(55)SE9. For some more features you could also use 15.0(2)SE7. The 15.0 release is not that respected for stability, but I still would say that it's already very stable.

Hi Tupe_kunal,

A good option for your platform would be Release 12.2.55-SE9 which is the Cisco suggested release based on the software quality and stability, please take a look at the following link for further information:

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=279486491&flowid=2537&softwareid=280805680&release=12.2.55-SE9&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=MD&reltype=latest

However you should take into account that if you need to fix an specific bug, you might need to take a look first in the Release Notes of the version in order to confirm that the fix you're looking for is in there.

Hi All,

Yes, 12.2(55)SE9 version is stable so far. I upgraded the switch to the recommended version.

Will observe it for a few days.

Thanks to everyone of you..... Cheers!!!

12.2(55)SE9.  You can't find any stable IOS for the 3560/3750 than this one.

It's a shame Cisco won't be developing/improving this version:  End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(55)SE for Cisco Catalyst 3750-X, 3750-E, 3750G, 3750V2, 3560-X, 3560-E, 3560-C, 3560G, 3560V2, 2960-S, 2960-C, and 2960 Series Switches
