CISCO 3560 wit - Mainboard hardware authentication failed. Abort init

hi everyone!  how are they?

I tell you that today I apparently have a fatal error on my Cisco 3560. It tells me "Mainboard hardware authentication failed. Abort init..."

but I don't understand how it happened.  and i have 4 this equipments  working 

To contact TAC or RMA I need a subscription or service that I do not have with CISCO

Please your help. Thank you

It does sound like a serious error. I am not confident that it would make much difference but you could try reseating any components and attempt boot again.

You are correct that to ask for an RMA with Cisco TAC you need a maintenance contract, and apparently you do not have one. So it looks like you need to scrap this one and perhaps think about a replacement device.

thanks richard, Could this be planned obsolescence? I hadn't used the equipment for 6 months and it was in my warehouse.

This is a well known issue (CSCvm55208) & affects 2960S/2960X, 6840, 3650/3850 and all Catalyst 9k (including routers and APs).

Contact Cisco TAC and organize for an RMA.
