cisco 3650 configuration file name

Hello,

I have recently rolled our some 2960-X switches where we replaced the 'config.text' file on the flash of the switch we were replacing it with. However, I have come to do the same with a Catalyst 3650 and the switch doesn't take the configuration. Has the default startup configuration file name been changed ? I did notice there was a nvram_config file on the flash, is it using that instead ?

Hello,

which IOS are you running on the 3650 ? Typically the file in NVRAM would be named 'startup-config'. What if you issue the command:

3650#copy running-config startup-config

Does 'startup-config' then show up in NVRAM ?

thanks for the suggestion, I've copied the running config to startup but i'm not sure where exactly on the flash the configuration file is stored ??
