Cisco 3650 IOS XE 3.6.0 - LLDP is not working correctly

Dear All,

We have a very strange issue with the new release for the Cisco 3650/3850 Switches IOS XE 3.6.0.

Setup:

- Cisco 3650 48 Port PoE Switch with Nortel/Snom Phones attached

with IOS XE 3.3.0

- Everything is working correctly the phones get their Voice-VLAN etc.

with IOS XE 3.6.0

- LLDP is not working correctly the phone get the message "No LLDPDU's received"

but if on IOS XE 3.6.0 the debug command "debug lldp states" is active everything is working...

I found nothing in the Web and in the Bug-Toolkit...

Thanks for your reply...yes lldp is enabled...and so far we did:

- Reapply voice-vlan configuration

- Disable/Enable LLDP

- Reboot the Switch

- Reset the Phones

... and only if we do "debug lldp" then it is working...strange

Hi,

This coulld bug in the OS you are running specially since the product is so new.  Open a ticket with TAC so they can help in resolving the issue.

This definitely needs to be investigated.  Please open a tac case and we can dig into this for you.
