Cisco 3750 acts as a DHCP-server and after a restart the Cisco AP:s loses their IP address after the lease period.

We have a Cisco 3750X-12s in our network which acts as a DHCP-server.

When the switch restarts the AP:s loses their IP address after the lease period, which now is 3 days.

To resolve the problem we have to do a power on/off on the AP:s and after this action the AP:s gets an IP address.

There is no DHCP-conflicts when the problem occurs.

This have happened several times.

There is 30 AP:s in the network

Model AIR-CAP2602I-E-K9

The AP:s are connected to Cisco 2960 switches

SW Version switch 3750

------ ----- -----  ----------

12.2(58)SE2

Does anyone have an idea why this happens

After the switch is restarted, the DHCP binding table is lost.

Try run sh ip dhcp binding before and after the switch is restarted.

By default it is store in memory, you can configure the switch to store the table somewhere on the network using ip dhcp database url.
