Do you guys encounter the error below on 3750's that is in stack? We have a 3 switches thats is setup in stack, the second switch always went hang and remove itself from stack. We are planning to replace it as it is causing problems. Is this error means there is a problem on the hardware or bug issue? Thanks.

Hi Angelica,

There are a few known bugs but all of them have been fixed in the IOS version you have on the 3750. In your case it is lilkely to be a hardware issue with either the stacking cables on switch 2 or switch 2 itself.

To isolate the faulty part, please change the cables on switch 2 and switch 2 itself one by one and see which one of them resolves the issue. Once we identify the faulty part I would suggest to open a TAC case and get the faulty part replaced.

Cheers,

Shashank

P.S. Please rate if this helped answer your post.

Hi Shashank,

Thanks for your response.

I dont think there is an issue on the stacking cables as the switch will join in stack for a period of time and then it will hang. We are going to replace the switch and see how it goes.
