Cisco 3750 Stackwise Hardware Version

I have recently added a 3750E-48PD to a 3750G-24PS (stack).  I had planned on just leaving the 24PS as the master and the 48PD as the slave, but they had different hardware versions:

Is there a way to update or upgrade the hardware version so that the 24PS will be made the Master?

Obviously, the Priority 15 didn't help with regard to the H/W version.

As long as the software versions are exactly the same either one could be the master.
