Cisco 3850 Port-speed ?

Hello,

What is the default port-speed of Cisco CAT3850 switches ?  is it FastEthernet or Gigabit_Ethernet ?

because in the datasheet, in the ordering section it is writen only Ethernet not Gigabit_Ethernet:

WS-C3850-24T-S

Stackable 24 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, with 350WAC power supply 1 RU, IP Base feature set

WS-C3850-12S-S

Stackable 12 SFP Ethernet ports, with 350WAC power supply 1 RU, IP Base feature set

What that means,  please explain.

I want to order the 2 above part-numbers, but need its ports speed to be GE supported.  is it the right ones i have chosen?

Both the switches are GE supported.Below are the more details

Yes you are correct. 

Optional are upto customer if they want to use it or not. But if you buy the switch(WS-C3850-24T-S) you would get the 24 ports to be used by default.

sorry it was not cleared for me, my question was if i order (WS-C3850-24T-S)  without ordering the network module 4x1GE and 2X 10GE.   then I will get 24-gigabit  port or not ?

Yes you would get.

You will be able to use 24-gigabit port.

Hello Wbahaduri,

By default you will get 24 gigabit port on the switch . Optional means you can order if you require and its not mandatory . 

If want then order additional modules and get 4x 1GE and 2x 10 GE Extra ..
