Dear all,

I have problem 2 uplink connect to  Cisco 3850 2 unit ( connecting stack cable).

the switch Active is ok when i connect only 1 cable ( Active switch to Access-switch ) but when i connect both connection to Access switch the client cannot ping interface vlan on core-switch.  i try to take out one cable on Secondary (3850) so the client can access and ping interface Vlan.

how can we check on secondary switch as any issue with stacking switch ?

Noted: i tried to use STP and Etherchannel the problem cannot solve .

 Best Regards,

please share configuration of switches, and the ports you are connecting the cables to

Dear Richard,

So Sorry i cannot give all configuration and post on public.

The command as below for configure Core-Switch and Access-switch.

Core Switch

interface Port-channel10
switchport trunk native vlan 255
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate

!

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
switchport trunk native vlan 255
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
channel-group 10 mode on

!

interface GigabitEthernet2/0/1
switchport trunk native vlan 255
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
channel-group 10 mode on

=======================================

Access-Switch

spanning-tree mode pvst
spanning-tree extend system-id
!
!

!
vlan internal allocation policy ascending
!
ip ssh version 2

interface Port-channel10
switchport trunk native vlan 255
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate!

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/25
switchport trunk native vlan 255
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
channel-group 10 mode on
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/26
switchport trunk native vlan 255
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
channel-group 10 mode on

when i take out connection on G1/0/1 and connect only core-Switch 2 interface GigabitEthernet2/0/1 so all client cannot access or ping to interface vlan on core-switch but we can ssh or telnet from Core-switch to access-switch.
any way if i connect both connection so the client cannot ping to interface vlan.

do you have any troubleshooting on switch 2 ? how to know the switch 2 is running and syn with switch1

Best Regards,

Dear all,

do you have any advise ?

any way , currently my switch are stacking so i want to write erase only coreswitch Standby ,

how can i write erase ?

Best Regards,

On  core switch 1 is there another port you can use( gi1/0/x) in case there is a problem on the Stack, if you do a "show version" on the stack you do see both switches?
