Recently upgraded parts of my network and server infrastructure with new 3850 XS Switches. I also have to a new HP Storage device with 10GB NIC and given HP 10GbE SFP+ DAC Cables but I am getting mixed reviews on various forums about this question. Do the HP 10GbE SFP+ DAC Cables work with the Cisco 3850 XS Switches and if so do I need to apply any particular configuration to the switch in order to have them work correctly?
I say "correctly" because some people state that non-Cisco DAT or DAC Cables are more prone to signal drop or not responding with the switch. Any advice or information on this would be great.
