dhcp ip helper-address change - outage?

Do you need to reload the router when applying new dhcp ip helper-address info? Im worried about a service outage when configuring the new addresses and removing the old ones

Hi,

There is no need to reload the router when adding a new ip helper-address. Just add the new address and remove the old address. There should be no outage.

Hi

As it was mentioned previously, no you will not generate any outage, it can be changed in hot but you must test after to be sure it is working properly. My personal recommendation is do that into an authorized maintenance window and make tests once the IP is changed.
