Cisco 3850x boat anchor

FYI - Do NOT purchase any Cisco 3850x switch if you intend to use a 10g SFP+ in the network module slot. It will not work and TAC currently has no workaround or idea when the code will be fixed. This problem is intermittent.

I have a 1/4 million dollars worth of these switches that are currently only good for boat anchors.

Three of the bugs we have encountered.

Also 3.7.4 will not do LACP portchannel and arp inspection is broken.

I don't have any 48 ports but have several 24 ports in production for over a year now with no issues.

Are you using C3850-NM-2-10G with 10g sfp+?

What code version are you running?

I have tried 3.7.5E, 16.3.3 and 16.5.1a.

Have you gotten a fix for this yet?

Having the same problem with the same part numbers randomly across 20 new switches. We've tried 3.7.5, 16.3.3, and 16.5.1a all with similar issues. Either the SFP module is randomly removed and inserted, or the sfp+ interface goes down and up.

I just saw that 16.6.1 is available but it's already on the known affected list of CSCvc26787.

Pretty frustrating that these things have way more issues than the ancient 2950's we replaced.

Hi, could anyone publish CSCvc26787, please? Because I cannot access it, we have 3850's aswell which have the bug.
