I am getting an error as below in Cisco 4006 switch and not able to ping any PC's connected to switch.
2008 Aug 27 02:55:26 %SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Tag 29 on packet from 00:04:4d:f2:9d:09 p
ort 3/2, but port's native vlan is 1
Is this message mere a warning or related to not pinging issue.

Whatever device you have on 3/2 has a native vlan mismtach on that port . Looks like a device is setup to trunk on that port but the native vlan does not match up on each end , that being said it should not cause any problems with other devices on that switch unless its causing a spanning tree loop somehow. Turn off the device on 3/2 and see if your problem clears , if not the problem is elsewhere . Any other messages in the log?

thanks to your response
3/2 is gbic port on routing module and i have connected no gbic modules or cable.
the switch is idle not conneted to network now.
3/2 may be a backplane for switch and shutdown in config.
thanks
