Cisco 4500 AC shelf 3+1 power configuration.

Greatings.

I'm trying to configure Catalyst 4510R with sup-6E and 2 AC Power Sheves for total of 7500W available power.

Shelves were already installed with 1 PWR-4502 PSs each, strapping kit between shelves was previously installed as well.

sh power output on the switch still reports "Total Maximum Available = 2500". So:

1. is it normal? meaning switch can't tell how much power is available?

2. i know i can tell switch total power available with "(config)#power dc input 7500", but how do i test 3+1 redundancy and real power availability?

In short - i want to test if PS updrage from 1+1 to 3+1 was successful.

Thanks in advance for your help.

- Vadim

What power inputs do you have installed on the power supplies?  Are they both 220 or 110?

Inputs all are 220V/20A, but that doesn't matter - according to Cisco Support, switch can't tell how much power it gets from DC/AC shelfs, so the only thing to test it is to configure manually "power dc input 7500" and keep connecting PoE devices till switch fails. :-(

Oh, well...
