Cisco 4500-e Licensing

Hi,

I'm trying to build a configuration for a Cisco Catalyst 4506-E with Supervisor Engine 7-E.

I would ask how licensing works.

I can choose between various Universal Image (for example: S45EU-S7-38E); I cannot find this code in any Cisco document.

How can I activate an IPBASE or ENTERPRISE license?

How can I know which version of software realease will be installed?

Hi,

Licensing has nothing to do with the IOS.

You can download any version of IOS you like and than purchase and activate the license. If you already have IP Base, you can upgrade to Enterprise after purchasing the license. Usually when you purchase the Sup, there is a base license that comes with it.
