In five days the router made two unexpectedly reloads with the following message:

4500 uptime is 1 hour, 6 minutes

System returned to ROM by watchdog timer expired

System restarted at 09:21:23 UTC Tue Aug 5 2014

System image file is "bootflash:cat4500-ipbase-mz.122-52.SG.bin"

cisco WS-C4503-E (MPC8245) processor (revision 10) with 262144K bytes of memory.

MPC8245 CPU at 266Mhz, Supervisor II+

Last reset from Watchdog

3 Virtual Ethernet interfaces

96 FastEthernet interfaces

2 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

511K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.

The flash dont have crash info, the logging dont have any information.

The only thing that is different from the first unexpectedly reload is the configuration of some interfaces and ISE configuration, example:

!

aaa authentication login default local
aaa authentication enable default enable
aaa authentication dot1x default group ISE
aaa authorization network default group ISE
aaa accounting dot1x default start-stop group ISE

!
interface FastEthernet2/4

 description 802.1x Enabled
 switchport mode access
 authentication host-mode multi-host
 authentication order mab dot1x
 authentication priority mab dot1x
 authentication port-control auto
 mab
 dot1x pae authenticator
 dot1x timeout tx-period 3
 spanning-tree portfast
 spanning-tree bpduguard enable
!

Thanks

 - Could be a software bug , although I could not find anything by defaulting to search-engines, you may if feasible and applicable look into more recent software versions for the platform and try them depending on urgency and upgrade-window availability requirements.
