Hi

I just purchased a 4507R+E with 2 power supplies and 2 supervisors and 5 switches. I am planning to purchase a UPS to power this Cisco device.

Here is the power supply specs from Table A-21

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/hardware/catalyst4500e/installation/guide/0aspecs.html#wp1034892

I am planning to purchase this UPS and wonder if it is able to support the load for the Cisco device?

http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SURTD3000RMXLI&total_watts=200

Thanks

Each one of your power supply can draw 2800W and the UPS is at full load at 2100W. You are asking for trouble. Use the cisco power calculator and add every card and poe device you will be using. If you are not over 2000W,you should be ok..until someone plugs in something un-expected.

For that model of switch, I usualy buy 4000VA UPS.
