I don't think i can change the bootflash without getting into iOS to delete. I only have access to Rommon commands. All in all i don't know how to proceed without access to iOS and access to rommon only.

Also sorry for censoring the IP Address, wasn't sure if it was ok to post it.

Autobooting using the first file from bootflash.....

Config-Registry is 0x2101 so the supervisor card will boot the first IOS file found in the bootflash.  So this behaviour is correct.

So after this stage, nothing happens?

It hangs there i see nothing after. To clarify, i do not get response from server telling me to press return or anything. I cannot enter the mode where i see

switch>

It just has a blinking box with no text, nothing after the last line. I press Ctrl +c/return and stuff to try to get a response, but nothing.

Wait ... This is where it stops?  The prompt it "Switch>"?

No, i am saying i don't see anything, when the iOS is loaded, i should see something like "switch>" right?

PS - Sorry if i caused confusing when i was trying to elaborate, here is a picture of the console

2022-01-15_1-12-17.png

I think the switch is dead.

Is there anyway to be sure? I saw another thread that was VERY close but the switch had Module 1 Failed (https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/cisco-4948-10ge-hangs-at-image-text-base-on-boot/td-p/4101737), but mine has passed. Not even sure if that is indicating the health of the switch or health of something else.

Now that i rechecked....you responded to that person too, lol.

After that text "Image text-base: 0x10000000, data-base: 0x123AECA8" , it will be no lines. Nothing i press will enter or change the blinking box at the end. I left it on for days to see maybe it's slowly loading something, but nope. Still like that.

   - Have a cold start (from power on ) , also have the console connected,  scrutinize the self tests.

Sorry for the late response, but the unit gives the same response from a cold start. Is there a way to factory reset the entire unit to a default factory IOS without leaving rommon mode? If not I think this unit is either bricked or something, because I cannot get any input to work.
