I have a 4948 device that is running at very high CPU:
CPU utilization for five seconds: 90%/16%; one minute: 89%; five minutes: 85%

I have followed the 'High CPU on 4500' chassis document and identified this CPU queue is getting hit the most 'L3 Fwd Low'
Queue Total 5 sec avg 1 min avg 5 min avg 1 hour avg
L3 Fwd Low 60268545567 9909 13750 7860 11201
This indicates an issue with ICMP redirects, however turning this off had No effect.
I have therefore tun a monitor on the CPU using these commands:
monitor session 1 source cpu queue 3 - 5 rx
monitor session 1 destination interface Gi1/27
However, when I view the packet capture for a 2 minute period I am only seeing about 300 packets. Has anyone got any ideas about why, or what type of packets would not be showing on a packet capture, yet still be shown in the IOS?
