I'm using a cisco 6500 with a VS-S720-10G supervisor and a WS-X6704-10GE card. IOS version 15.1(2)SY4a.
I need to test a new 10G link. The other end have a loopback cable and my local interface is configured as L3 interface with an IP address. The link is up and I can ping the ip address, but the packets do not leave the link. They remain inside the switch.
How can I test the link with some ICMP packets?
