Cisco 6500/6880 Precision Time Protocol IEEE-1588 support query

Hello

I'm aware of the limited number of Cisco switches that currently support Precision Time Protocol (PTP). I have an environment of Catlayst 6500/6800 switches that currently doesn't support PTP - is there a roadmap for introducing this in the  6500/6800s?

The use case is for potentially implementing AES67 (audio-over-IP interoperability) and the need for network switches that support "transparent clocking" - link below explains AES67 and PTP requirements:

Thanks
Andy

Hi Andrew,

May I know how you solved this problem? I also need to deploy OMNEO (Audio over IP) in our existing network which the system need PTP source. Please share your exp if the problem is solved. Thanks.
