Hi buddies,

There is a error like below on the the Cisco Switch 6513 with IOS version of "s2t54 Software (s2t54-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.2(1)SY1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc5)". What is the problem and how can I solve this?

%EARL-SW1_DFC4-1-EXCESSIVE_PARITY_ERROR: EARL 0: Parity error detected in VRAM
%EARL-SW1_DFC4-3-NF_PARITY_ERROR: EARL 0  NF ASIC: Uncorrectable Parity error in Netflow Table.

Thanks in advance,

Post the complete output to the command "sh module".

You'll need to arrange a downtime to reseat the line card.  The line card will need to be pulled, count to three seconds, pushed back in, and secured.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I also have this issue now. Running 15.1(2)SY11, so it should be a version which shouldn't "spam" my logfile every 3 seconds.
Just to be sure, the error message means the DFC of the slot 4, right?

Yes. Line card 4.
Same thing: Pull the line card out, count to three and push it back in.
Make sure there is something that is recording the logs so if something else pops up, we'll be able to see it.

Thanks, it looks good now :)

I'll keep my eye on it the next few days, to make sure it stays this way.

No errors when doing the removal and reentry.
