Hello,

I'm trying to boot from usbflash0 (IOS 17.3.5)and flash:packages.conf but having the below errors.

%PMAN-3-PROCHOLDDOWN: R0/0: The process cmand has been helddown (rc 134)
%PMAN-0-PROCFAILCRIT: R0/0: pvp: A critical process cmand has failed (rc 134)
%PMAN-3-RELOAD_RP: R0/0: pvp: Reloading: Switch will be reloaded
Chassis 0 reloading, rrticipant detected
%PMAN-5-EXITACTION: F0/0: pvp: Process manager is exiting: reload fp action requested
%PMAN-5-EXITACTION: Rvp: Process manager is exiting: Critical process cmand fault on rp_0_0 (rc=134)

I have also tried an emergency-install which had come back as successful but I'm still seeing the above error

Hi Leo,

Thanks for your feedback !

Which version you suggest ? Do you know the most reliable version currently ?

Hello,
I sorted this by booting from v17.6.4 so I'd suggest downloading that to a usbflash and booting. Let me know how it goes?

Thanks,
Reece

Hi,

I saw that, but the last version that I can download on Cisco website is the version 16.12.8 ...

Go straight to 16.12.8.

There is a strong chance all the config of the switch will be completely wiped because I'd be recommending performing emergency-install to fix the issue.

Hi,

Tried emergeny-install 16.12.8 from usb... no success

Any idea what I can do ?

Hi,
Could you try emergency install using v17.6.4?

Will try tomorrow morning with 16.12.8

Will try an emergency-install as you said, by chance I have a backup of the config !

Sure you try emergency recovery and if you get chance try upgrade and test before you go live.
