Hi Everybody!
I bought a AS2511RJ for my lab and a BL50R transceiver to allow my 2511 to access the LAN.
Now when I plug it with a Cat5e straight through cable from router A and configure a IP address on Ethernet0. I can see its receiving, but not sending. On the other side of the cable I have specified 10Mb/Half Duplex on the sending interface.
I have read the manual and can not find any information that may assist.
http://docstore.mik.ua/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/ap/ap_ts2/transc.pdf
Its has pretty lights on it that show it has a "link" and "Pwr" and sometimes "Rec" flashes to indicate it is taking traffic. But never send.
and a 'sh interface' shows
Ethernet0 is up, line protocol is down Hardware is Lance, address is 0050.5480.605b (bia 0050.5480.605b) Internet address is 172.16.99.253/24 MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000 Kbit, DLY 1000 usec, reliability 128/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255 Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set Keepalive set (10 sec) ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00 Last input never, output 00:00:09, output hang never Last clearing of "show interface" counters never Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0 Queueing strategy: fifo Output queue :0/40 (size/max) 5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec 5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec 0 packets input, 0 bytes, 0 no buffer Received 0 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles 0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored 0 input packets with dribble condition detected 139 packets output, 9096 bytes, 0 underruns 139 output errors, 0 collisions, 7 interface resets 0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred 140 lost carrier, 0 no carrier 0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
is the AUI or transceiver faulty?
has any one seen this before?
Many thanks for any info.

Hi,
Most likely the problem is the AUI interface. You can get a AUI on ebay for a very cheap price.
