Cisco Catalyst 9300 switch technical support

Hi,

I am looking for some technical support on Cisco Catalyst 9300 24 port switch.

I am using the 9300 switches to form 2 physically separate ring topology networks. I need downstream devices to have connectivity to both these networks for redundancy purposes, i.e. – in case one ring fails, the other ring will provide connectivity.

I want to know if I stack the switches from both ring networks using stack cable, would I be able to physically connect downstream devices to just one of the switches in the network and have the redundant switch still function as a backup?

I have illustrated this in a diagram:

I understand there might be some configuration that is involved in setting up these switches this way – if you could explain this as well, that would be much appreciated!

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you for your support!

Hi @JinoThomas

If switch 2 fail, downstream device will be out and the stack can not fix it.  This downstream device have only one network adapter?
