Hello,
We need to upgrade one of our 9410s and one of our Engineers came across a Primary Supervisor module equipped with the bootflash: filesystem and a bootflash-1-1: filesystem. The latter contains the OS package files and I did a copy run bootflash-1-1:config_backup_8-8-2023 just to test and the running configuration file was created and automatically copied to the stby-bootflash: filesystem.
The bootflash: file system is empty. I believe we will be alright with the upgrade but wanted to see if this was something Cisco did early on with the Sup-1 (C9400-SUP-1) Supervisor modules.

- Could be a remnant of dual supervisor configuration normally the bootflash-1-1 filesystem will as such be named and or used on the ICS supervisor (In-Chassis Standby supervisor). Or does this box have 2 supervisors ?

Hello,
This 9400 is equipped with Two Supervisor modules. The file system name is stby-bootflash:

Even though they are all Catalyst 9k, different platforms have different way of calling the flash. And the name of the flash will change depending on the version of firmware the platform is on.
