When I attempt to use Cisco Configuration Professional 2.6 - PC edition, I experience an issue in which only about a third of the gui is displayed in the window. I have attached a screenshot of what is occurring.

Troubleshooting information:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Internet Explorer version: 10

Java version: 7.0.170

Adobe Flash version: 11.6

Troubleshooting steps attempted:

Uninstall CCP and remove folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\CiscoCP that is left behind.

Update Java

Update Adobe Flash

Do an emergency restore of Internet Explorer

Has anyone experienced this problem, or have any ideas as how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Try downgrading Adbobe flash. If I remember correctly mine's version 10 and need to install an applet just to rollback.

I rolled back to version 10.x with no luck.

Any other ideas?

Ok. How bout downgrading Java? It's usually one or the other causing the problem. Make sure you've rebooted the PC after changes.

Also, what browser are you using? IE works seamlessly with CCP. Let me know, orherwise I will further check my PC.

I've tried your recommendations, but I'm still getting the same result. CCP is opening with IE 10.

Thank you for your help.

I finally got it. I rolled my Java and Flash versions back to the versions you specified.

What I didn't check, however,  is just before CCP broke, a new version of IE was installed. By rolling back to IE 9, in conjunction with the other versions of software, CCP is now functioning.

Thank you so much for your help.

Cool! I'm glad you've already fixed it and thanks for rating!

It pains me not to touch or do any upgrade on my PC since every time I do, it breaks the CCP function.

I had the same problem with CCP 2.6 & 2.7 on Windows 7 and cleared the issue by rolling IE 10 back to IE 9 and rolling java back to build 1.6.0_31.  I didn't change the Flash Player and it's at the current version as of 09/04/2013.  Just to Note:  I have another computer running Windows 7 and have kept the updates up-to-date with the exception of IE 10; it's still running IE 9 and has never had a problem with CCP 2.6.

Hope this helps everyone.

Hi,

I was experiencing the same problem. I rolled back to Internet Explorer 10 to fix the issue. I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed and now everything seems to be working just fine.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

CCP Version: 2.6 Build 1112081100

Anyway, thanks for sharing the information..

Since my last post I am now running CCP 2.8 with IE 11.0 and Java version 1.8.0_25 with little trouble.  Every once in a while it'll get a wild hair and hang on loading and I run CCP 2.8 install on top of the current installed version 2.8 to clear the problem.  I still think it's a java problem in that it corrupts a CCP 2.8 file or files.
