Cisco Industrial Ethernet 4010 Series Switches

Not a comm guy but estimating a job where they're asking for this series of switches.

They want a communication fiber line from the telecom closet to the switch. 

Can this swich accept a fiber connection and if so how many strand? Thank you.

Cisco Industrial Ethernet 4010 Series Switches support fiber optic connections. According to the Cisco datasheet, the switches have SFP slots that can accept fiber optic transceivers for Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

Hi,

It can take up to 4 pairs of fiber (SFP 100/1000) connections, which is equal to 8 strands. So, in total 4 connections.
