Hi All...
My name is Arindom and from IN Kolkata.
I have found that my Cisco L3 WS C3550 24Power SMI switch has corrupted flash.
As it has no other option I tried to boot it via console but failed deliberately.
Upon powered on - the system light (led) blinks in green for few seconds after that port 1 led goes off with remaining led ports green steady and the system light (led) becomes steady green.
I never get any dialogue or switch connectivity via console.
Tried to put this switch on for several hours and then turned it off.
Once happens I get the switch prompt back and found it is being forced reload.
the image file loaded in there is c3550-ipbase-mz.122-44.SE3,bin
I found the image file name shown is c3550-ipbase-mz.122-44.SE#,bin
I then tried formatting flash.
while I saw several flash blocks are damaged or corrupt and dialogue comes about fixing.
But immediately after that it again goes unresponsive.
I switched it off and powered on.
still now I am unable to get back the switch prompt via tera term or putty.
Please suggest on this.
I think my flash chip is gone corrupt and need to replace the chip will only solve.
Please suggest your valuable opinion in this regards

Setup a TFTP software in the network and copy the image into TFTP ( make sure you check the image you downloaded correct0 check with md5 checksum to verify also.
Try below steps : ( make sure you change the IP and IOS verion you looking to load in to device - change accordingly)
switch: IP_ADDRESS=192.168.1.1
switch: IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
switch: TFTP_SERVER=192.168.1.2
switch: TFTP_FILE=c3550-ipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE5.bin
switch: DEFAULT_GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
switch: set
BOOT=tftp://192.168.1.2/c3550-ipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE5.bin
............
switch: boot tftp://192.168.1.2/c3550-ipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE5.bin
Once it boot switch #
Format the flash and copy the image from TFTP to Switch - setup the boot variable as per the below document and wr and test.

1st of all, I like to give thanks for this early and prompt help.
I have found that the image originally I loaded c3550-ipbase-mz.122-44.SE3.bin was corrupted as after transferring it via tftp method - it says bad zip and invalid zip method.
I then changed the file ios with another ip base image with different train ID like SE6.bin....it boots and extracted successfully.
But now I have stuck in another problem. I have attached the exact notification for your ready reference and guide me further sir.
Thanks

- If you tried another ip base image, then verify it (too) using md5 checksum verification before loading into the switch.
