Hello
We will be connecting two HPE 6125s in IRF mode to two Nexus 2k fabric extenders (see attached diagram). I am unfamiliar with HP switches/IRF and am not sure how to configure the Cisco switch ports. We would like the HP switches to operate in a redundant primary/secondary configuration. Hoping someone can shed some light on how the Cisco interfaces should be configured (circled in red), taking into account preventing a loop or any other issues. For now only one vlan needs to be on the links between the 2ks and HPs but more might be added in the future so they'll need to be trunks.
Thanks in advance
Amy

Hi;
To configure the Cisco N5K/N2K link as primary / secondary with HP, you just need to configure the port as trunk and restrict the vlan via allowed vlan command.
Thanks & Best regards;

Hi Ahmed
Thanks for the response. Would this not cause a loop? Or does IRF take care of that?
