For switch, look at WS-C3850-24XS-E.
Information required for Router is not sufficient: What is the total bandwidth the router is meant to process?

Thanks for the reply.

1. The minimum bandwidth the router may be processing is around 500Mbps

Also, what i meant in my initial post is

1. It should have a minimum 10 nos of 1GigEthernet ports (SFPs). And

2. A minimum of 4nos of 10GigEthernet ports (SFPs).

Awaiting your kind reply.

Thanks

The router is the ASR 1006X.  You'll need to pick and purchase the RPESP and SIP.

For the 10-port SFP, the part number is SPA-10X1GE-V2 and you'll need one unit.

For SFP+, you'll need four SPA-1X10GE-L-V2.

Hello,

Please help confirm if all the below can fit into the router before purchase.

I could be wrong but where's your SIP?
I haven't ordered one of these for a long time. Can you forward the list to your local Cisco R&S SE and get them to review it?

Hello.

Thanks for your responses, it has really helped me alot. I really appreciate.

Please, can i ask some questions:

1. I have read the datasheets for the SIP, RP and the ESP. What are their functions in the router and are their functions distinct from each other?

2. While configuring on the cisco website, i dont see any slot for the SIP. Can you help me with a part number that can work well for the router.

NB: MY local Cisco R&S has not been helpful.

Awaiting your kind response.

Thanks

Raise a TAC Case.  The value of the equipment you're going to get is very substantial.  I don't want to make a mistake of getting you to buy something you don't need.

SIP stands for SPA Interface Port.  This is a wide line card with the SPAs slide in.

RP stands for Route Processor.  This is responsible for the routing and throughput.  The higher the number the higher the througput.
