Cisco SG200-26FP PoE capabilities

Hello,

we are trying to solve one mystery about Cisco SG200-26FP PoE capabilities.

In the datasheet (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/small-business-200-series-smart-switches/data_sheet_c78-634369.html) is stated that "IEEE 802.3af PoE delivered on half of the RJ-45 ports within the listed power budgets".

But in the table in the datasheet is information that there is 24 ports supporting PoE with total maximum of 180W. The same information is in Administration guide.

I understand that if I use 12ports for 15.4W I will use the whole 180W power budget and cannot connect anything else.

But if I will use devices that have power consumption of (for example) 5W can I use them on more than 12 ports?

Thank you

Kind regards,

Hi if you re read that it in the doc it shows that it only matters to the lesser model SF200-24P, which is 100watts , yours is 180 watts supporting 24 ports poe the FP model , the 100watt is limited to 12 physical ports , your fine you can use 24 ports up to 180watt total

the other is 12 max ports up to 100watts
