Hi, I noticed this afternoon that my Cisco SG550XG switch's CPU is running at 100%. This switch has been in use for 2 years and I have not seen this behavior before. No topology or config changes for months. Does anyone know if its possible to pinpoint which process is responsible for the high CPU utilization? I cannot find any any commands that return process information (as was possible on other / older Cisco switch models). I would like to try and identify the root cause rather than just trying to reboot or upgrade the firmware.
Any ideas would be appreciated!

Hi, sadly I never found the cause of the issue. I resolved it by rebooting the switch and replacing a suspected faulty patch cable. Disabling SNMP and almost every other unused feature had no impact in my case. I will say that I will not purchase a piece of hardware running this particular OS again as I found it really limiting. Sorry I could not have been of more assistance.

Hello,
make sure you run the latest firmware release, 2.5.5.47, on the stack...

Hey,
i will try to reboot the stack these days and if that doesn't help update the firmware.
I only have to update the firmware on the master then, right?
I always have something scared when updating the firmware that it doesn't work anymore or the configuration is gone.
