Cisco Stacking Topology

Hello,

If we want to make stacking across two cisco 9300, should the data stacking cable cross over like below picture

or we can config like below picture?

What pro and cons if for each two topology?

Top one is recommended best practice and can scale. 
Bottom one is someone wants to make it nice-and-pretty.  Will not scale.

There are two pictures.  

One is on top.  One is on the bottom.

For two units, it doesn't matter.
